Bruce Holt

Born and raised in the Midwest, Bruce’s personal values became established in a home where education, family, friends, and faith were assigned great importance.  This foundation allowed him to excel scholastically, and to subsequently earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri.

Following a brief period in the oil fields, Bruce accepted a position to work on the structural design of the F-16 at General Dynamics in Ft Worth, Texas.  Preferring to remain in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area following the staff reduction at General Dynamics, he secured a position with CCC Conveyors.  This proved to be the turning point in his career, and he quickly became Chief Engineer over Baggage Systems.  When the company was sold, Bruce moved to Denver to accept a position with Translogic, where he specialized in high-rise mail distribution and pneumatic tube systems in hospitals.

After leaving Translogic, he joined PSI, a process engineering company in Memphis, Tennessee, whose business sector supported Federal Express and other clients.  To support this non-core, yet growing segment, Bruce passed his PE exam and obtained licensure in all fifty states.  When the company was sold to Lurgi, and the construction company split from engineering to form PSICC, Bruce requested to split the FedEx support group also.  His request was eventually granted, and in October, 2006, Bruce established Holt Engineering from Lurgi’s business sector, with their complete support.

With personal commitment and perseverance, the support of family, friends, and industry associates, and the counsel of mentors, the endeavor has proved successful.  And the firm continues to exceed both market expectations and plans for growth, while actively pursuing new markets.
